Outdoor Education & Recreation

Who We Are

The Darton State College Outdoor Education & Recreation program offers recreational, educational and developmental opportunities to DSC students and the community through outdoor adventure experiences designed to promote individual and collective learning, growth and positive change.

What We Do

For Students:
Darton State College Students are our priority. We offer a full compliment of outdoor opportunities throughout the semester, including regional trips, on-campus clinics and local programs to take advantage of our area’s natural resources. Our 45’ indoor climbing wall is open to students every weekday, and student open climbs on our outdoor wall and challenge course are offered regularly. Need gear for an adventure of your own? We can help! From kayaks to sleeping bags, students can rent top-quality equipment at unbeatable prices.

For the Community:
The Outdoor Education & Recreation program offers a full range of custom outdoor programming to suit your group’s needs, whether you’re looking for a fun afternoon of indoor climbing, a canoe trip to reinforce your class’s science curriculum or a corporate development day on the challenge course. Interested? Just fill out the Program Interest Form and we’ll get back to you soon. Want to check us out on your own? Stop by one of our community open climbs to meet other area outdoor enthusiasts and climb all you want for only $5.
