Normal hours of Operation are Monday - Friday, 8:00 to 12:00 & 1:00 to 5:00. Summer and Holiday schedules may vary.
The Distribution Center is located behind the Plant Operations facility. We are easily located by following Meadowlark Drive, the street on which the Albany Museum of Art is located, to its’ southern termination. Our facility is forklift equipped so we can handle most delivery situations. Last year the Distribution Center received over 6,000 different shipments, with these often consisting of multiple pieces.
NOTICE: The parcel receiving process is designed for commercial shipments. Packages received at the Darton State College Distribution Center may have their contents searched! As the receiving agents for Darton State College we are charged with the responsibility of properly screening, identifying, documenting, and routing of incoming parcels. Often packages must be opened to facilitate this process.
To assure the proper handling of outbound packages please use a Darton State College Shipping Request Form (located in Sharepoint under Distribution Center). The state of Georgia has contracted with United Parcel Service to handle our Domestic Express Mail and Package deliveries. UPS makes their afternoon pickup at roughly 3:00 P.M. We will make every effort to ship your package in a timely manner. Assist us in this effort by giving us the earliest notification possible that you have an outgoing shipment. Please telephone (229) 317-6793 and confirm with Jennifer Griffin or Don Bragg that your package is ready for pickup.
Remember, packages being shipped to a P.O. Box must be shipped via the U.S. Postal Service. United States Postal Service transactions are conducted from the “A” - Building Mail Room. For questions about utilizing that service please contact Martha Jackson at ph. (229) 317-6608.
