Under heading Manage My Direct Loan you will need to select the green Sign In tab and key in your social security number, first two letters of your last name, birth date and your 4 digit FAFSA PIN number. Once directed to Welcome to StudentLoans.gov you will be required to “Complete Entrance Counseling” Once completed and successfully received, under the confirmation information, select “You can submit a Master Promissory Note”. Next under heading “Select the type of loan you would like to receive” select “Subsidized/Unsubsidized” and follow the steps. Be aware when completing you will be prompted to click on readable sections before you can proceed. Once complete, select submit and your student loan application is complete.

Remember: You will not receive your Stafford Direct loans if you have not:

  1. Completed your Darton College Stafford Direct Loan request
  2. Completed Studentloans.gov Entrance Counseling
  3. Completed Studentloans.gov Direct Stafford Master Promissory Note (MPN)
