Types of Financial Aid Available


Programs that require no repayment by the student.

Federal Pell Grant
Makes funds available to eligible students and by design is the foundation of the student's aid package. The current maximum Pell Grant at Darton College is $4,050 per academic year.

Federal Supplemental Education Opportunity Grant (FSEOG)
Available to students with demonstrated exceptional need who would not be able to continue without additional aid. The student must be enrolled at least half-time to receive FSEOG. The maximum grant at Darton College is $1,500 per academic year.

Georgia HOPE Grant
Provided to Georgia high school students graduating in 1993 or after with a 3.0 cumulative grade point average in the college preparatory curriculum or a 3.2 in any other curriculum, or to students who have a 3.0 after attempting 30 semester hours or 60 semester hours of college courses, or to students attending Darton College and majoring in a Certificate Program. The HOPE Grant covers tuition and mandatory fees not covered by the Pell Grant. The student also receives a book allowance. Students wishing to apply should follow the outlined application procedures.
