There are often SPECIAL AID opportunities provided by local fraternal and civic organization. Since most of these are awarded through local high schools to graduating seniors, students are encouraged to discuss such opportunities with their high school counselors.
Veterans Affairs provides assistance to students who are eligible for benefits under any of the Veterans Administration educational programs. Students who are eligible for benefits should complete the appropriate applications available in the Office of Financial Aid and Veterans Affairs. Applications and supporting documents (i.e., DD-214) are forwarded to the Atlanta Regional Office.
Vocational Rehabilitation is designed to provide financial assistance to handicapped students who seek personal, professional and career development. Those who believe they may qualify under this program should contact the nearest Office of Vocational Rehabilitation for more information.
