Darton's Joe Sakulpolphaisan Ranked #1 Golfer in NJCAA
Its been two years since sophomore Chanat Sakulpolphaisan traveled all the way from Chon Buri, Thailand, to attend Darton College and play golf. Joe, as he is known by his teammates and fellow students, is currently ranked number one in the NJCAA.
Joe started playing golf when he was nine years old after seeing his older brother take up the sport. Since then he has been hooked. Even though Joe is focused on perfecting his golf swing, he doesn’t let that get in the way of his studies. Joe is a general business major and has the second highest GPA on the golf team. Joe stays very active on campus, as he is a member of the Skeet & Trap club and always tries to schedule time to watch other Darton athletic teams play. When he is not studying or playing golf, Joe enjoys going shooting and fishing.
After graduation this summer, Joe plans to transfer to a Division I college to play golf and continue his pursuit of being a professional golfer.
