The conference seeks to provide networking opportunities in addition to sessions on rail, trucking, shipping, inland ports, and the ever-increasingly important elements of technology and security involved in logistics. Cajuste, a physical education major from Grand Island, Bahamas, ran the 8,000-meter run in 26:06 to finish sixth overall and to crush the former school record – shared by him and former teammate Adam Ross – of 26:56. Darton Soccer Team Moves Up To No. 2Both governing bodies, the National Junior College Athletics Association and the National Soccer Coaches Association of America, agreed today that Darton College is the No. 2 team in D-1 junior college soccer. |

Darton's students elected their new Student Government representatives for the 2011-2012 year. The new officers are as follows: Brendon Aselton, President; Mason Frierson, Vice President of Academic Affairs; Wallace Senter III, Vice President of Business Affairs; Priyanshi Naik, Vice President of Student Affairs; and Hannah Thompson, Secretary.
Darton's Servant Leadership program is partnering with the Hasan Temple for the second year in a row to bring the much-anticipated Haunted House to the Albany community. The event will be in the Old Office Max building behind the Albany Mall with the following dates and times: October 15-16 from 7-11 p.m., October 22-23 from 7-11 p.m., October 25-28 from 7-10 p.m., and October 29-30 from 7-11 p.m. Admission is $7 for those brave enough to dare!
On October 20, Darton College will hold its first annual Global Logistics Conference.
Over two hundred students, faculty, and staff gathered in the quad for a candlelight vigil October 5 to honor the passing of Darton Police Officer Anthony Hardy. Hardy served at Darton for eighteen months and had become admired and respected by all on campus. The evening included a slideshow tribute and words from Carol Ann Ham, Eric O'Cain, Derek Johnson, and Chief of Police, James Brackin. Students also wrote messages to his family in several scrapbooks placed around campus.
Darton College sophomore Kingsley Cajuste scored Darton College’s best ever finish at the Mercer University RunFit Sports Invitational race September 17.
