Alumni NewsFrom Darton to a career in Aerospace Engineering Marcelious credits his preparation for GA Tech to his professors here at Darton State College, who challenged him to get a thorough understanding of the course work and to stay focused. While at Darton he was an active member of the Mathematics Engineering Science Achievement (MESA) Club and the National Society of Black Engineers. Marcelious says Darton is a great choice for students who plan to attend large universities not only because it prepares you academically, but also financially.
Marcelious says he recommends Darton every chance he gets. "The education and student life at Darton will prepare students for any endeavors," he said. Marcelious is a dedicated and hard-working student, who is sure to continue to make Darton State College proud. |
"Attending Darton gave me space and time to save money for when I transferred to a four-year school," said Marcelious. Marcelious is a recipient of the HOPE scholarship and a STEM scholarship through MESA.
