Wes Sadler, class of '92, is currently the president of the Darton State College Alumni Association, but this isn't his first time serving in a leadership role at Darton. While he attended school, he first served as the vice-president and then as the president of Student Government. Wes feels that it's important to give back to Darton, because of the appreciation he has for the contributions that Darton made in his life.
As the president of the Alumni Association he wants other alumni to know that their relationship with Darton shouldn't end when their classes end. "As a scholarship recipient, I'm excited to partner with the alumni association through membership. The alumni association can help Darton grow and strengthen the ties between the college, alumni and the community," said Sadler.
Over the years Wes has also been involved in many other areas of the community serving on the King Day Celebration committee and the American Cancer Society Relay for Life committee. Currently he is a member of The Exchange Club of Albany. Wes earned his bachelor's degree in accounting from Georgia Southwestern and is a partner at Sadler Retirement, where he works as a certified financial planner. He and his wife, Izzie, are tennis enthusiasts and proud parents to their three children, Savannah, Joel and Logan.
