About Us
The Darton College Bookstore is owned and operated by Darton College, a unit of the University System of Georgia. Its purpose is to furnish all of the tools necessary for the educational process of its students and provide a service to faculty and staff. Income from the operation of the bookstore is used to pay for the cost of goods sold, employee salaries, and other operating expenses. No State of Georgia funds are allocated to subsidize the Bookstore. All funds needed for operation must be generated by sales from products. A complete line of essential classroom items, as well as souvenir items, such as mugs, stationery, t-shirts, and sweatshirts with the College logo and/or seal are available for purchase.

Ordering
When you find the books you need for your classes, you may call us at (229)317-6755 or email us at bookstore@darton.edu to order your books. If the phone line is busy and the voice mail system is activated, you may leave a message*. Information that needs to be included for shipping purposes is your name, a day time telephone number where we may reach you, your mailing address (not a post office box; UPS must have a street address), city, state, and zip code. There will be an additional shipping charge of $5.00 per item ordered added to the total cost of your textbooks. Before the finalization of any book purchase, it is the students' responsibility to verify the book(s) used in the course with the instructor. This includes the correct edition and ISBN Number.

Shipping
There will be an additional shipping charge of $5.00 per item ordered added to the total cost of your textbooks. Darton College assumes no responsibility for packages lost or delayed during shipment after they leave the college. Please remember that the bookstore is extremely busy during registration and the first week of classes. There may be an additional delay in processing all of the orders during that time, but we will ship via UPS or the United States Postal System as quickly as possible.

Payment
Purchases may be made in the Bookstore by using cash, check, VISA or MASTERCARD charge cards*. During the registration process while student accounts are open, charges may be made to authorized student receivable accounts, i.e., Pell, scholarship, loans, etc. The Bookstore is not authorized to extend credit. Charges to student accounts must be authorized by Darton Business Office Personnel or by the Financial Aid Officer.

Financial Aid
If you have financial aid available and wish to purchase textbooks by charging them to your financial aid account, please e-mail your order to the bookstore at the bookstore@darton.edu. You must then call the bookstore with your account number so that the staff may input this data into the Banner system to verify your financial aid*. After the transaction is completed, the bookstore will ship the books to the student.

BuyBack/Refund
Book Buy Back and Refund policies for textbooks purchased over the phone or email and shipped to the student will be the same as those for textbooks purchased in the Darton College Bookstore. These policies and procedures may be found on the Darton Bookstore Web Site as well as in the Student Handbook.

When a refund is authorized, only the purchase price of the textbook will be refunded. No shipping charges will be refunded. It is the purchaser's responsibility to pay handling costs for books returned to the bookstore should they be returned through the United States Postal System or UPS.
