How can I fund study abroad?

Study abroad programs require payment for tuition and program fees. These program fees vary depending on the country of study, the length of the program, and the types of activities provided for students during the program.

In most cases, financial aid used for study at Darton (like HOPE and Pell) will apply to the tuition cost of studying abroad. However, because financial aid programs vary, you should meet with your Financial Aid advisor to discuss how your financial aid will apply.

In addition to grant and loan programs, there are scholarship and work study programs available to students who plan to study abroad.

STARS Work Study Stipend: Current University System students in good standing are eligible to apply for a STARS work study grant. Students work in on campus before studying overseas. Students may earn up to $500 per semester through this program.
