Adventure Programs Description:
Darton College hosts a number of outdoor adventure based programs and activities. These programs are designed with recreation and education in mind. Our goal is to promote safety and responsible recreation in the outdoors.
Outdoor Adventure Club (OAC)
The purpose of OAC is to provide opportunities for students and community members to participate in, and become aware of, a variety of outdoor adventure experiences, with the benefit of knowledgeable leadership.
The club will host a variety of trips, workshops, and meetings open to students and community members.

Past trips have included hiking, camping, rock climbing, caving, canoeing, primitive fire making, slide shows and more.

Open Community Climbs:
Open Climbs are opportunities for Darton students and community members to take advantage of our state of the art 50ft climbing wall. More than six climbing routes of varied difficulty make the wall fun for all ages and experience levels.
- No Experience Necessary
- All Safety Equipment provided
- No Age Limit (We have Child harnesses)
Cost:
Free - Darton students, alumni, faculty and staff
$5.00 all others

Private Programs/Birthday Parties
Looking for a unique venue to host a birthday party or private event? Come have it with us at the Darton College Challenge Course.
Course amenities include:
• Covered Pavilion with lights and ceiling fans
• 2 Bathrooms
• Large open grassy areas
• Convenient parking
• 50’ Climbing Wall and Climbing Tower
• Obstacle Course
• All Safety Equipment
• No Age Limit (We have Child Harnesses!)

Continuing Education Programs

A series of adventure based Continuing Education courses are offered here at Darton. Classes are offered year round and can include such activities as canoeing, teambuilding, rockclimbing and outdoor living skills.
These courses and related activities carry no academic credit and do not require entrance testing for admission.
