Working Title: Director
Department: Crisp County Higher Education Center
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Planning, coordinating, and monitoring, in cooperation with other divisions of the College, all components of the Crisp County Higher Education Center.
- Planning and participating in student recruitment activities.
- Academic advising and serving on departmental and college committees.
- Assisting in developing training programs for all areas of the college and local industry.
- Planning for and preparing materials for initiating and implementing new programs and revising existing programs.
- Assisting in the preparation of specialized accreditation.
- Teaching required.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Education and/or Experience:
- Master's degree required; doctorate preferred. (Must meet SACS requirements of 18 graduate semester hours or 27 graduate quarter hours in the teaching field.)
- Teaching experience required, minimum 4-5 years.
- Prior collegiate administrative experience desired.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A firm commitment to the teaching-learning process in the two-year community college.
Supervision:
This position reports to the Vice President for Academic Affairs.
