Darton State College Cordele Campus ONLY Freezing Rain Advisory

The National Weather Service has issued a Freezing Rain Advisory for the Darton State College Cordele campus area. "FREEZING RAIN ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 1 PM EST
THURSDAY...LOCATIONS...GENERALLY ALONG AND SOUTH OF A LINE FROM HAMILTON TO HAWKINSVILLE TO VIDALIA.
* HAZARD TYPES...LIGHT FREEZING RAIN.
* ACCUMULATIONS...UP TO A TENTH OF AN INCH OF FREEZING RAIN.
* TIMING...RAIN...SLEET AND FREEZING RAIN WILL SWITCH TO MAINLY LIGHT FREEZING RAIN OR FREEZING DRIZZLE THIS EVENING.
* IMPACTS...ICE THAT ACCUMULATES ON ROADS...BRIDGES AND
OVERPASSES WILL MAKE TRAVEL DIFFICULT.
* WINDS...NORTH 10 TO 15 MPH WITH GUSTS UP TO 25 MPH.
* TEMPERATURES...STEADY OR FALLING INTO THE LOWER 30S.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
A FREEZING RAIN ADVISORY MEANS THAT PERIODS OF FREEZING RAIN OR FREEZING DRIZZLE WILL CAUSE TRAVEL DIFFICULTIES. BE PREPARED FOR SLIPPERY ROADS. SLOW DOWN AND USE CAUTION WHILE DRIVING."
