August 15, 2013
ALBANY – Darton State College kicks off its first semester of Darton Music Academy, a comprehensive community music school that offers private music instruction on all instruments and voice, taught by outstanding professional faculty with major university training. The Darton Music Academy is for anyone desiring to further develop skills on their instrument or voice, and those wishing to learn music.
The academy is beneficial for parents, students and directors. The program will build self-esteem, help student’s boost their scores at literary meets or solo and ensemble, and better prepare them for auditions; all while building skills that last a lifetime.
Registration for the fall semester is going on now. There are 12 lessons per semester, which begin the week of Sept. 2 and end the last week in November. Choose from half-hour lessons for $459 or one-hour for $699 per semester.
