22nd Annual MathCounts Competition Feb. 7
Middle school students from five schools throughout Southwest Georgia will meet at Darton College on Saturday, Feb. 7, for the 22nd annual MathCounts competition.
Registration starts at 8 a.m. in Darton's B-Building. Students will compete from 9 a.m.-12:30 p.m. An awards ceremony will be held at the end of the competition.
Students will compete individually and as teams in written and fast-paced oral matches. MathCounts is a nationwide program designed to answer the problem of declining math skills among U.S. students.
Volunteers from area businesses have joined together to proctor, score, judge, and coordinate the event.
