Constitution Day Events Sept. 15 and 16

Darton College is hosting “Constitution Day” events Sept. 15 and 16 in the Darton Theatre.

Judge Joe Bishop will speak on Wednesday, Sept. 15, at noon, and a costumed reenactment of the signing of the Constitution will be held Thursday, Sept. 16, at noon. Both events will take place in the Darton Theatre. They are sponsored by national communication honor society Sigma Chi Eta and DIRT (Democrat, Independent, and Republican Team). Other performances and activities will take place across campus each day from 10 a.m. - 1 p.m.

A video titled “We The People: The U.S. Constitution and You” will air as part of the celebration on Channel 19 on Friday, Sept. 17, from 8 a.m. - 8 p.m.

Constitution Day is held annually to celebrate the signing of the document that has guided our country throughout its history.
