Diamond Dig at Darton April 5
March 29, 2011
Darton College Athletics will host a Diamond Dig on April 5 after the baseball game against Andrew College.
The dig is open to the first 300 females who obtain a ticket from the concession stand at the baseball field. Open to all students, faculty and staff, and the community, tickets will be available until 7:30 p.m. The normal $3 admission will be charged for the 6 p.m. conference game (Darton students are admitted free).
After the game, at approximately 8:30 p.m., those that have tickets will be allowed on the infield clay area to dig for the diamond. Participants must bring their own spoon (teaspoon size) with which to dig. The diamond, which will be in a 10" box, will be hidden in the infield clay at Cavalier Field. The person finding the box will carry home the diamond ring.
The .53 carat marquise diamond with white gold band was donated by Allen's Jewelers.
