Darton College Dance Company's Fundraising Production June 25
The Darton College Dance Company is proud to present its first gala fundraising event Cosmic Kinematics: The Story of Mary Beth’s Ballet Saturday, June 25, at 7 p.m. in the Darton College Theatre.
The story is about a little girl named Mary Beth whose dolly comes to life and is whisked away by the BalletKing to the magical mystical Realms of Music somewhere in space and time. Dolly and the Ballet King dance amid the stars and galaxies to the rhythms of themusic of the spheres...until Dolly remembers Mary Beth and knows that she must return to Earth. As Mary Beth is waking up and reaching to hug Dolly, Dollyfalls fast asleep and cannot tell of her wonderful venture into the magicalmystical Realms of Music.
This performance will have live music by the Albany Symphony Orchestra as well as guest performances by Judge Loring Gray and Karla Heath-Sands. Funds raised will go toward motion capture equipment for Darton’s dance department.
