Darton College To Host "Bid For Bachelors & Bachelorettes" April 19

Darton College will host “Bid For Bachelors & Bachelorettes” Thursday, April 19, at Stonebridge Country Club.

The evening will begin at 6:30 p.m. with a wine tasting and reception featuringmusic by Darton’s jazz band. The bidding on twelve of Albany’s most eligible bachelors and bachelorettes will start at 7:30 p.m. Romney Smith of WFXL Fox-31 will emcee the event. Music will be provided by Jodi Mann and the Levee.

The evening will also include a reverse raffle drawing for $10,000.

Bachelors/bachelorettes and the winning bidders will enjoy a date package that includes a trip to Atlanta via the Darton bus, brunch at the nationally acclaimed Highland Bakery, a visit to the Georgia Aquarium, a light dinner, and an Atlanta Braves baseball game.

The cost for tickets is $30 for a single ticket and $50 for a couple. All reverse raffle ticket holders and guests will be admitted. All proceeds will benefit scholarships for Darton College Athletics.

Tickets can be purchased through the Darton athletic department and coaching staff, the Darton cashier (Tilley Building), Moe’s, Taylor’s Supermarket, and Backstage Studio.
