Old Toad Duo To Perform March 8

February 24, 2012

The Darton College Music Department will host the Old Toad Guitar Duo, featuring faculty guitarist Dr. Matthew Cochran, on Thursday, March 8,at 7:30 p.m. in the Darton Theatre.

The Old Toad Guitar Duo gives old American tunes an overhaul. They call these "new" compositions American Unoriginals – where listeners have heard these songs before, but not like this.

The Old Toad Guitar Duo is Steve Mattingly and Matt Cochran, longtime musical collaborators who first met at the Eastman School of Music in 1995. They are co-founders of the groundbreaking Tantalus Quartet, with whom they regularly appear at concert series and festivals throughout the United States, Europe, and Canada.

The concert is free and open to the public.
