Bid for Bachelors and Bachelorettes and $10,000 Reverse Raffle
March 15, 2012
The Darton College Athletics Department will host a “Bid for Bachelors and Bachelorettes and $10,000 Reverse Raffle” at Stonebridge Country Club in Albany on April 19th at 6:30 p.m. All proceeds will go toward Darton athletic scholarships. The evening opens with a wine tasting event, presented by Paul Duffey, and a “meet and greet” with cash bar and heavy hors d’oeuvres as the eligible bachelors and bachelorettes mingle.
The bachelorettes include Melanie Kendall, Kerri Copello and Romney Smith, all of WFXL Fox 31 News. Bachelors feature WALB’s Shane Wright, WFXL’s sports anchor Andrew Schnitker, Darton Baseball’s assistant coach Boone Webster, Levance Richmond of the Albany Panthers and entrepreneur Nathan Borer.
The auction for our very eligible bachelors and bachelorettes begins at 7:30, followed by music by Jodi Mann and the Levee Band. All the while, tickets will be drawn from the reverse raffle until the final ticket is drawn for a prize of $10,000.
The date package will be a group date to Atlanta on Darton’s coach bus that includes a brunch at nationally acclaimed Highland Bakery, a trip to the Georgia Aquarium, light dinner and a Braves game. Local dinner dates will be available to the couples in the event the group date conflicts with the couple’s schedule.
Tickets are available at the following vendors — Moe’s, Taylor’s Supermarket, Backstage Salon or by contacting the Darton College athletics department at (229) 317-6914. You may purchase tickets also by emailing David Mann, sports information director, at email@example.com.
Tickets are $30 each or $50 per couple to attend the evening event. Purchase of a $100 reverse-raffle ticket also serves as admission for two to the event.
