Blackjack & Scholarships Gala This Friday, May 11
May 07, 2012
The 5th Annual Blackjack & Scholarships Gala is fast approaching and there are only a couple days left to purchase tickets. This year’s annual gala will be held Friday, May 11 in the Cavalier Arena. Hosted by the Darton College Foundation, the annual gala is the foundation’s largest and most anticipated fundraising event of the year with all proceeds benefiting scholarships for students.
The evening will begin at 6:30 p.m. with a cocktail reception featuring the Darton College Jazz Band and a silent auction where guests will have the opportunity to win vacation packages, artwork, a TV and much more. At 7:30 p.m. dinner will begin and the casino floor will open. Guests will have the opportunity to play casino-style games such roulette, blackjack and craps without losing any real money. In addition, throughout the evening guests will enjoy live entertainment provided by the band “The Headliners” and special guest artist Faith Jackson, a 2011 nominee for Georgia’s Female Vocalist of the Year.
The Blackjack & Scholarships Gala not only offers a fun-filled night out, but it is also a great opportunity for the community and philanthropy-minded businesses to come together to support students and the Darton College community. Tickets for the Blackjacks & Scholarships Gala are $150 per person. The event is black tie optional.
