June 18, 2012
Manswell Peterson, an instructor and program coordinator of criminal justice at Darton State College, landed on Amazon's best-selling author list last week with his latest book Tracks of My Tears. It took Peterson's new book, which was released on Monday, June 11, just seven hours to reach the number one spot on the Hottest New Releases list!
The book is based on Peterson's childhood and is filled with inspiration and determination. "The book communicates to readers that ones future does not have to be determined by past or present circumstances," Peterson said. "It is proof that faith, perseverance, and resiliency can change the course of ones future."
Since Tracks of My Tears was released it has gained rave reviews from readers across the nation. This is Peterson's sixth book; his first book was published in June 2007. Unlike his previous five books, which were romance novels,Tracks of My Tears is Peterson's first non-fiction novel.
Peterson, a native of Albany, has worked at Darton State College since September 2011. He is a member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity and a retired Navy veteran. Peterson graduated from Troy University with a bachelor's and master's degree in criminal justice.
