Job Overview
Who are Computed Tomography Technologists?
Computed Tomography Technologists are health care providers who care for neonate, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients with various types of health problems. CT technologists are the link between the patients and the radiologists interpreting the exam. CT technologists, under indirect and direct supervision of radiologists, use specific computers along with x-rays to provide cross sectional images of specific anatomy to help diagnose and treat patients.
CT technologists may work in different types of facilities, whether that facility is a hospital, outpatient clinic, physician’s office, traveling agency, an independent diagnostic company or a specific manufacturing company in sales or applications.
