Polysomnographic Technology Program
After completing your formal education, the next step is to successfully complete the RPSGT (Registered Polysomnographic Technologist) exam. The Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists (BRPT) is an independent, non-profit certification board that seeks to cultivate the highest professional and ethical standards for polysomnographic technologists by providing an internationally recognized credential. This credential validates your competence as a Polysomnographic Technologist to employers and the public. You credentialing will involve the following:
RPSGT – Registered Polysomnographic Technologist. This is a credential which identifies the Polysomnographic Professional. You must re-certify every 5 years, either through continuing education or retaking and passing the credentialing exam.
This program is not accredited through the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education. RPSGT credentialing information can be reached on-line at www.brpt.org or at the following address:
