Network Security Option (8576)

What is it?

The network security certificate program is designed to prepare students to become security specialists in an enterprise network environment. Areas of emphasis are on security concepts to reduce and mediate the security threats and risks to a network infrastructure.

Upon completion of the appropriate courses, the student may elect to take the Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification exam. Other certifications attainable upon completion of the program include the CompTIA Security+ certification. While every effort is made to assist the student in preparing for these professional exams, no guarantee is made that he/she will successfully pass them.

The courses in the program are only available to students enrolled in the Network Security Program or by permission of the instructor. They are also subject to change in order to be responsive to the changing information technology demands of the workforce.
