George L. Carter
Professor George Carter is an artist, teacher, archivist, lover of life. All his views are personal until he gets ready to expound upon them. Professor Carter has taught photography at the University of North Florida, Jacksonville, FL, and photography at Florida State University. He held the position of Archivist and Assistant Director of the Photography and Records Collection at the Florida State Archives, overseeing the preservation and care of over 1 million historical visual and historical documents. Professor Carter is active in the area of arts movement and has judged numerous juried art exhibits. He is one the founders of the Emerging Artist Art Show, a yearly collaborative art exhibit between Darton College and Albany State University. Professor Carter holds an Instructional Technology Certificate from Darton College. He is an avid fly fisherman and ties his own flies.
