Larry Anderson
Larry Anderson has more than 20 years of experience as a professional journalist in Georgia and Texas. Most of that time was spent with the Morris Newspaper Corporation of Savannah, Ga. During his career he won awards from both the Georgia and Texas press associations for his editorial writing and for his news reporting.
He began his newspaper career after graduating from Georgia Southern College with a Bachelor of Arts in psychology. He ended his newspaper career by returning to Georgia Southern and earning a Master of Arts in English. He completed coursework for a Ph.D. in English at the University of South Carolina, but left the program to take a position as instructor of English at Darton College in 2005.
In 2008, he added journalism to his responsibilities and is now pursuing a Master of Arts in journalism through the University of Memphis online degree program. He also has four years experience teaching English and journalism at Georgia Southern. He is a member of Phi Kappa Phi, a national honor society, and several professional English and journalism organizations.
