John Conway
John Conway has taught writing and literature courses online and on-ground for 15 years. He received his BA in English from Ohio State University, his MA in English from Western Michigan University, and his MFA in Creative Writing (Fiction) from Southern Illinois University. He is currently a Ph.D. candidate at the University of South Carolina where he is completing his dissertation. His specialty is 20th Century American literature with a minor in African American literature. His dissertation is a cultural study that attempts to understand the meaning of the "labyrinth" as a trope in American film and literature.
John, his wife, and his three children (Olivia, Liam, and Alaina) live on 1 acre of non-restricted land just outside Greenville, SC, where he has chosen to live a sustainable lifestyle. This entails a variety of homesteading projects including beekeeping, water collection, composting, gardening, and home brewing. He and his family hope to raise chickens and goats soon! His goal is to live off the grid.
When John is not teaching online, he is in his yard hanging out with his kids or reading.
