Debra Richardson "Debbie"
Debbie Richardson received her BS in Nursing from the Medical College of Georgia in 1974 and began her career as a registered nurse working in a psychiatric facility in Augusta. She later worked in the ICU at Parkland Hospital when she and her husband moved to Dallas, TX. She completed her MSN at Texas Woman’s University in 1983 with a focus in Psychiatric Nursing. She worked as a consultant and a school nurse with the DCSS until she joined the Darton faculty in 2006. She is certified by the ANCC as a Child and Adolescent Clinical Nurse Specialist and completed Primary Clinical Certification in Cognitive Therapy from the Atlanta Center for Cognitive Therapy.
Debbie Is married to Cullen Richardson and they have three grown children and two granddaughters. She enjoys relaxing with family and friends at the beach, walking daily around Lake Loretta, cooking, painting and traveling. She is involved in many community activities and has been an active member of St. Paul Episcopal Church for thirty years.
