Gloria Pat Ridgeway
G. Pat Ridgeway began teaching courses in the Learning Support and Humanities Divisions in 2006 and later served as the Assistant Dean of Learning Support. Mrs. Ridgeway was honored as Darton’s Teacher of the Year in 2009 and was the recipient of the Excellence Award from the National Institute for Staff and Organizational Development (NISOD) in 2012. She has served on numerous committees for the College and the University System of Georgia and is a member of several professional organizations. Mrs. Ridgeway earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Spelman College, a master’s degree in secondary education from Atlanta University, and graduate hours in English Education from Albany State University. She has also completed two programs at Darton by earning certificates in Instructional Technology and Addiction Counseling. Presently, Mrs. Ridgeway is pursuing her doctorate in education at Columbus State University. In addition to her current administrative responsibilities as Assistant Dean for Student Success and Director of Career Services, Mrs. Ridgeway enjoys her work as an academic advisor and engaging students in on-campus and online DART 1000 courses. Her other interests include supporting the performing arts, reading, and traveling.
