Bradley Waltman
Brad Waltman lives in North Las Vegas, Nevada, with his three dogs near the Las Vegas Strip.
He is originally from the eastern part of the United States. He was born and raised in Central Pennsylvania and spent 18 years in New York City. His B.A. is from James Madison University in Spanish. His M.A. is in Teaching English from Hunter College and his Ph.D. (minus the finished dissertation) is from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. He hopes to finish his dissertation within the next year.
He has taught for over twenty years. He began teaching Spanish in a high school in Queens, New York, then began teaching English as a Second Language for the City University of New York. He then taught English Composition for CUNY for nearly fourteen years. He moved to Las Vegas four years ago and is a tenured professor at The College of Southern Nevada in the English Department.
His latest publication is a college textbook Words on Paper published by Longman and was released in the summer of 2007. He was the Chairman for the National Council of the Teachers of English, Two Year College Association-West and staged the 2007 convention in Las Vegas last October.
He enjoys all outdoor sports--most especially tennis, swimming, hiking, camping, and fishing.
