Nancy C. Mitchell
Nancy Mitchell has been a nursing instructor at Darton College since 2010. She enjoys teaching Nursing Fundamentals with our newest students and seeing the student’s faces light up as they hear their first blood pressure and give their first injection. Her clinical background is in cardiac and critical care nursing. She completed her BSN in 1976 from University of Alabama in Huntsville and her MSN in Community Health Nursing from the University of Alabama in Birmingham. Previously she has taught Community Health Nursing at the University of Alabama in Birmingham and the University of Kentucky Schools of Nursing.
Ms. Mitchell has lived in Albany, Georgia for 25 years and serves the community through her work with the American Cancer Society, the American Red Cross, Samaritan Clinic and Young Life Ministry. She also serves as one of Darton Association of Nursing Students (DANS) advisors which allows her to work with nursing students on community projects and travel to state and national nursing student activities.
