Nursing Faculty and Staff
Allyson Wells hails from the peach state of Georgia. She has been teaching at the college level since graduating in 2003 and has been an online instructor since 2004. She is an online instructor of Communication courses here at Darton College and at a few other schools.
She received her Bachelor's degree in Political Science from Georgia State University. She loved to study current events and history as a child, so the major made perfect sense. She went on to work on a political campaign in 2004. She earned her Master's Degree in Mass Communication from Florida State University, which helped her to study her first love, writing. This degree enabled her the opportunity to study multiple subjects in a research capacity.
In addition to teaching at the college level, she also works as a freelance writer. Her work has been published in major newspapers and magazines covering a wide variety of topics. Some publications include the Atlanta Journal and Constitution, Soaps.com, Sheckys Media, Performer Magazine, Trusty Guides and many more.
In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her newlywed husband, spoiling her Pomeranian, traveling, cooking, gardening, shopping, sitting by the pool/beach, knitting, and watching Adam Sandler films.
