Adjacent to the Physical Education & Athletics building lies the Darton State College Challenge Course. Our unique outdoor facility includes a 50’ Alpine Tower, a 50’ Carolina Climbing Wall, Swing by Choice, The Rescue Exercise low initiatives course, and a covered, log-cabin inspired pavilion. The physical education department offers a wide variety of outdoor classes including fly-fishing, survival skills, beginner paddling several others. Outside of the academic environment, the facility has “open climb” hours and also gives the community opportunities for professional development and leadership activities. Bright, outdoor lighting allows for late-evening activities as well.
