Student Complaint Resolution Policy
Federal regulations associated with financial aid and academic program information include the following requirements: The institution must make available for review to any enrolled or prospective student, upon request, a copy of the documents describing the institution’s accreditation and its State, Federal, or tribal approval or licensing. The institution must also provide its students or prospective students with contact information for filing complaints with its accreditor and with its State approval or licensing entity and any other relevant State official or agency that would appropriately handle a student’s complaint.
Darton State College is committed to resolving student complaints, grievances, and concerns utilizing a process that is fair, convenient, and expeditious. Procedures for such are available in the Student Handbook (http://www.darton.edu/current/stu_aff/activities/archive.php). Students, whether residing in the State of Georgia or outside the State of Georgia, should follow the College’s student grievance procedures. In addition, Darton State College has a complaint resolution form (http://www.darton.edu/resources/concerns.php) to ensure that your complaint, grievance, concern, or suggestion does not go unnoticed or unresolved.
If concerns cannot be resolved internally, the student may file a complaint with his or her State of residency. Information is located for each state below.
